but since the first fig is so dismal(4 below) and Fig2 is still 2 below par, even a gain of 3
in Fig3 wont make up enough ground. How did this horse go off at only 5.8 to 1? No
Chance- and finished last as he should! He got nothing going for him in this race.

One contender. Cant really find a solid second choice here. Simple Win bet, maybe a
place bet as well, thats it. Not into those exacta wheels, although we could have put the 3
horses that were not total throwouts and caught a $52 exacta, but I would not have done it.
Your call as you get comfortable with this system. Anyway, MISS ROYALE wires the field
by 8 lengths and pays $8.50 to win as a single play. $4.30 place price. One contender
races are nice, means competition is not too keen and our choice won't have much
pressure on him. Having a strong Fig2 gain, even with a off Fig1 and since the CV was a
plus, these horses are good. We do not want our Fig1 to be too low though, if it is off more
than 4, we should be careful. This was an easy choice since the competition was so weak
in this race, proven out by his 8 length win. If the race was more competitive he might not
have been such a standout play. Subtle differences in the figs can change things
drastically. By the way, since we had the winner of the first race also, the Double was
$87.50
